Jen started filmmaking at the Beijing Film Academy, where she wrote, directed, and edited her first short film before returning to the UK to resume her film studies at the University of Bristol where she graduated with a degree in Film & TV.

She currently works on film and TV sets whilst writing and directing character driven stories. Her focus is on ones which highlight societal issues and has so far covered topics such as addiction and mental health in her writing, with many more she wishes to explore in the future.

She was selected for the Google x The Dots' Fast Track 50 programme. Her film "Apocalypse Anytime Now" was funded by the Roundhouse and Ex-Animo foundation and won Best National Film at the Making Waves Film Festival.

Her film "Discord", supported by Other Brother Studios, and "My Grief isn't Grief Enough" are now entering the festival circuit.
